Alexandra specializes in dispute resolution in both state courts and in international arbitration courts as well as has experience representing clients in court and resolving disputes at the pre-trial stage.

Alexandra has participated in disputes involving bankruptcy, commercial, corporate, estate, as well as other branches of law and also has experience preparing opinions on Russian law.

Alexandra’s professional and academic interests include Russian procedural law, international private law and contract law.

Experience

• representing the interests of a major Russian bank in a series of practice-forming disputes on the recovery of damages for the obligations of a foreign subsidiary with Russian persons in connection with the introduction of foreign sanctions
• preparing an opinion on Russian law for international arbitration in the ICC in a dispute between a major Russian oil company and a foreign subcontractor on the recovery of advance payments under a subcontracting agreement concerning the issues of grounds for liability, inability to fulfill obligations and termination of the agreement
• developing a complex strategy for the trial defense of a major Russian telecom company involving non-contractual use of the common property of an apartment building and enforcement proceedings
• representing the interests of one of the owners of a major international network of children’s educational parks in a dispute over the recovery of debt under a loan agreement complicated by a foreign element
• representing the interests of a subsidiary of an American manufacturer of consumer goods in a dispute over a service agreement for the maintenance of writing instruments
