Artem focuses on resolving significant commercial disputes involving both Russian and foreign companies within state courts and international commercial arbitrations.

His expertise is particularly centered on representing major global banking institutions in sanctions-related disputes against Russian creditors in Russian state courts.

Additionally, he represents Russian credit institutions in disputes with foreign companies stemming from Russian counter-sanctions regulations.

Artem also has a background in representing foreign companies in disputes with Russian regulatory authorities concerning medical devices’ circulation. Furthermore, he specializes in the procedures for amicably settling commercial disputes between banking organizations, particularly those complicated by foreign and sanctions-related elements.

Experience

  • representing a large Russian company in a dispute against an Austrian company considered by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce
  • advising a global clothing company on issues related to the lease of retail premises
  • representing a Russian microfinance organization in disputes with Latvian and Estonian companies related to the issuance of replacement bonds in favor of foreign creditors based on the provisions of the Russian counter-sanctions regulation in the Russian state court
  • assisting a Russian franchisee of an international fast-food restaurant chain with a dispute settlement with a franchisor
  • representing global Swiss bank, its Russian subsidiary, and several foreign companies affiliated with the Swiss bank in a series of disputes against key Russian banks in the Russian state courts. The cases involved seeking collective recovery of funds from the Swiss corporate group and the Russian subsidiary bank
  • representing a systemically important Russian bank in a dispute with its foreign sister company regarding the recovery of counter-guarantee payments, as well as in a case against a major Russian manufacturing firm in in the Russian state court over the recovery of bank guarantee payments
