Ksenia is a senior associate in the IT and Telecommunications practice. Ksenia’s main areas of focus are personal data protection (privacy) and Internet regulation.

Ksenia is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E).

Ksenia has extensive experience advising international and Russian clients on intellectual property issues, privacy and data protection, including:

  • bringing a company in compliance with data protection legislation and advising on different data protection issues

  • introducing various internal confidentiality regimes for information held by companies

  • identifying intellectual property in need of protection, formalizing IP ownership and identifying legal risks in the area of intellectual property

  • developing a protection strategy for intellectual property against violations by third parties and drafting appropriate documents in this regard

  • drafting license agreements and alienation agreements for exclusive rights and advising on registration issues with the Russian patent authority

Also, Ksenia gives advice on corporate and intellectual property issues and assistance in drafting contracts and corporate documents providing full transactional support. Ksenia has experience conducting legal due diligence and corporate investigations involving complex commercial and regulatory issues.

Experience

  • advising a major foreign airline company on the application of a requirement to register with Roskomnadzor as a personal data operator

  • conducting a comprehensive audit and developing a complete package of necessary documentation for personal data processing for a large non-profit organization in the field of air transportation

  • drafting opinions on numerous issues in the field of personal data and intellectual property

  • analyzing potential violations of the rights of third parties in Russia and several foreign jurisdictions in connection with the use of a certain designation in advertising by a large diamond mining company

  • coordination of a multi-jurisdictional project to launch a token exchange for one of the world's largest aluminum companies

  • supporting throughout a dispute regarding a trademark used on the territory of the Russian Federation and the subsequent registration for a French multi-channel retailer
