Timur's primary specialisation is advising on cross-border and Russian M&A transactions, with particular expertise in the mining and agriculture sectors.
In addition, Timur assists businesses with regulatory matters, including issues related to the benefits available to foreign investors under various investment regimes and contracts established in Russia.
With substantial international experience and fluency in multiple foreign languages, Timur frequently advises Russian businesses on foreign and multi-jurisdictional projects.

advising CEFC China Energy Company Limited in the potential acquisition of a minority stake in a gas production subsidiary of Rosneft and establishing a joint venture with Rosneft for the future development and exploration of gas deposits, including comprehensive DD of the one of the key gas production subsidiaries of Rosneft

advising CB Enterprises Pte. Ltd. on the acquisition of a 10% participatory share in Vostok Oil LLC by the way of a share deal. The advice included legal due diligence, drafting transaction documents, Russian merger control clearance, and closing the transaction in Russia

Load moreTOKK, one of Russia's largest manufacturers of aluminum, tinplate, and plastic packaging, has completed the acquisition of the Metarus Group's assets. The deal includes the formation of a joint venture focused on producing easy-open lids, tin cans in various sizes, and twist-off caps for glass containers.
The recent changes in the Russian regulatory environment have made it difficult to use foreign companies and structures as holding vehicles for Russian assets, which prompts increased use of Russian instruments, vehicles and structures.
