Yury has been representing the interests of Russian and foreign legal entities in arbitrazh courts and courts of general jurisdiction at all levels for more than 11 years. Yury mainly specializes in major commercial disputes and corporate conflicts. Given that criminal investigations often arise in relation to corporate disputes,

Yury has repeatedly acted as a defense attorney in criminal cases of an economic nature, successfully defending the interests of clients and obtaining, among other things, acquittals for his clients.

Yury has overseen major cases involving the rehabilitation of unlawfully convicted persons. The compensatory payments he has secured for his clients have set legal precedents, demonstrating his expertise and experience in complex legal matters.

Yury has been instrumental in developing BIRCH's "First Responders" initiative aimed at providing prompt legal assistance to businesses facing crises, allowing his clients to quickly and effectively respond to complex and urgent situations. As part of this practice, Yury often speaks at various events, writes articles and publishes materials on crisis response and legal support for businesses.

Experience

• representing the interests of the management of a large Russian manufacturing company in a criminal case on charges of committing fraud on an especially large scale in the amount of RUB 45m initiated by the Russian FSB Directorate for the Magadan Region, which resulted in the court issuing an acquittal
• representing the interests of the company's management in the rehabilitation process which resulted in more than RUB 10m of property damage and RUB 1 million of compensation for moral damages being recovered from the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation for illegal criminal prosecution
• representing the interests of a large manufacturer of confectionery products in numerous disputes regarding the return of expensive production equipment worth more than RUB 1bn in disputes over challenging transactions, vindication, and the recovery of damages. Defending the company's management in a criminal case on charges of committing large-scale fraud in the amount of RUB 1.3bn initiated by the State Investigative Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the St. Petersburg and Leningrad region resulting in an acquittal from the court 
• representing the interests of a brewing company in disputes related to the protection of the company’s intangible assets that were lost due to the application of sanctions against Russian legal entities by EU countries, which resulted in the client's demands being satisfied by the court 
• representing the interests of a large meat production enterprise in a dispute regarding the requirements of Rosprirodnadzor to collect fees for its negative environmental impact in the amount of more than RUB 500m, which resulted in the supervisory authority refusing to satisfy the stated requirements in full
• representing the interests of a commercial bank in disputes related to challenging transactions concluded on behalf of the bank using forged documents which led to the bank losing the collateral rights securing the fulfillment of the borrower’s obligations for more than EUR 200m. Ultimately, the client's claims were satisfied by the court
