On April 10, 2024 Kommersant published the results of the 2024 Legal Rating.

Moscow, March 11, 2024. BIRCH LEGAL has recently attracted a team of lawyers who formerly worked for one of Russia’s oldest law firms—"YUST”—and welcomes Alexander Bolomatov as a new Partner, Counsel Anton Sirotkin, and Yury Gorovoy as a Senior Associate.

The partners at BIRCH LEGAL have reviewed the results of 2023 and have honed their plans for 2024 as per the firm's previously adopted growth strategy.

In the last year, we have grown by 40% both in terms of revenue and personnel. We have consolidated and improved our position in most of our practices, including the firm's major areas of expertise — Corporate and M&A, as well as Dispute Resolution.

British banks had frozen over EUR 7 m in funds intended for the client's foreign partners due to the involvement of a sanctioned Russian bank in the original payment route. The client sought advice from BIRCH LEGAL due to the difficulties encountered.

Prior to joining BIRCH LEGAL, Vitaly was a Senior Associate at Better Chance (formerly Clifford Chance CIS Limited). Vitaly specializes in corporate and commercial law, advising Russian and international companies for over 14 years on all aspects of M&A, private equity, joint ventures and corporate restructurings.
