Andrey’s practice is focused on advising local and multinational clients on real estate, banking and finance, litigation and bankruptcy matters.

Andrey also advises on various commercial and contractual matters with a particular emphasis on deal structuring, securities and collateral, currency control and international trade compliance issues.

Andrey has substantial experience carrying out projects related to different forms of funding and financing, including debt and equity financing, external and intra-group loans, project financing and the acquisition of assets using borrowed capital.

Andrey has considerable experience in implementing projects and providing advice on complex aspects related to cross-border investment transactions in real estate, foreclosure on mortgaged real estate, negotiating with state and municipal authorities on construction, territorial and urban planning, as well as on various other issues related to real estate and financing.

Among other things, Andrey's practice focuses on supporting and advising clients on internal investigations in various sectors of the economy. Andrey has experience in protecting clients' interests in criminal and regulatory disputes, including fraud and other financial crimes, antitrust laws, securities, government contracts and environmental crimes.

Andrey is an attorney at law admitted to the St Petersburg Bar Association (Chamber of Attorneys at law).

Experience

• providing a major US-based manufacturer of power management equipment with comprehensive advice on various matters to implement business processes through a Russian branch office, involving commercial, contractual, antitrust and financing issues

• assisting a leading US-based biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical corporation on a multifaceted assignment to restructure the client’s business in Russia

• advising a large Japanese air conditioning and split-system manufacturer on securing its business relations with its customers in Russia

• preparing Russian collaterals for a cross-border trade facility issued by the Swiss subsidiary of a major Russian bank to one of the largest Russian agricultural conglomerates

• assisting a large-scale Finnish manufacturer of lifting equipment with corporate restructuring and representing the client in court on recovering a high-value debt from a customer

• representing the world’s largest manufacturer of industrial loaders, excavators and accessories based in the Czech Republic on the foreclosure of a mortgage in Russia in the State Commercial (Arbitrazh) courts and courts of general jurisdiction
