About
Mikhail’s key specialization is to provide comprehensive legal support in the acquisition and sale of businesses, setting up joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations. Mikhail also has substantial experience supporting investment projects at all stages of the investment cycle, assisting clients in resolving issues of investment structuring, real estate and construction, corporate law, and planning their future exit from projects.
For over twenty years, Mikhail has been advising clients on a wide range of complex issues in their commercial activities, including within competition law, labor law and contractual issues. A specialist in negotiations, Mikhail regularly helps clients resolve disputes with counterparties at the pre-trial stage. Mikhail’s client portfolio has traditionally included a number of companies in the primary and secondary sectors, and he is well-versed in several industries, including the agricultural sector, mechanical engineering and shipbuilding.
For the last six years, Mikhail Timonov has been the co-head of the Legal and Investment Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in St Petersburg, which has become an important platform for professional meetings and networking in the region.
Mikhail holds a PhD in Law.
